Grand spectacles through the ages
Le Puy du Fou is much more than an amusement park; it's a unique emotional experience that has been voted «World's Best Park» several times. Located about an hour's drive from Saint-Gervais, this extraordinary place transports you through the centuries with shows of unparalleled scale. From the Gallo-Roman Stadium with its frenetic chariot races to medieval knight combats, through Richelieu's musketeers or the trenches of the First World War, each staging is a masterpiece of technology and human performance. The sets are monumental, the stunts breathtaking, and the special effects leave you speechless. It's a total immersion into the history of France and the Vendée, told with a poetry and power that touches all generations.
Nature and historic villages: A still journey
Between major shows, Puy du Fou invites you to wander through a wooded park of over 50 hectares. Here, you'll discover villages reconstructed with incredible historical accuracy: the medieval city, the 18th-century village, the 1900s town, and the fort from the year 1000. In each village, artisan craftspeople (blacksmiths, coopers, illuminators) perpetuate ancestral skills before your eyes. The park also gives a huge place to animals: it is here that you'll find one of the largest falconries in the world, with the show «Le Bal des Oiseaux Fantômes» where hundreds of birds of prey soar close to spectators in an unforgettable aerial ballet. The themed gardens and rose gardens offer zones of calm and beauty, making the park a place where one takes pleasure in getting lost in order to better discover its secrets.

The Cinéscénie: The biggest night show in the world
If you get the chance to visit the park on a Cinéscénie performance evening, you will witness an absolutely legendary show. On a 23-hectare stage, with over 2,500 volunteer actors, the Cinéscénie recounts the destiny of the Maupillier family from the Middle Ages to the Second World War. The use of drones, 3D projections on water screens, monumental fireworks, and captivating music all combine to create a historical fresco of rare intensity. Be warned, bookings are made months in advance! But even without the Cinéscénie, the evening show «Les Noces de Feu» (included in the grand park ticket) offers a water-based spectacle of great beauty. The Puy du Fou is a destination from which you emerge transformed, with vivid images in your mind and the feeling of having experienced an exceptional moment.
